BORN ABERDEEN, 1888. SON OF DOCTOR, ALEXANDER THOMAS GORDON BEVERIDGE & LILLY BEVERIDGE. EDUCATED AT GORDON COLLEGE AND ABERDEEN UNIVERSITY,, WHERE HE GRADUATED IN MEDICINE, IN 1912. LIKE HIS FATHER HE BECAME A MEDICAL DOCTOR. MARRIED SARAH GERTRUDE BUFFEY, IN JULY 1915 & SHE LIVED AT 18, HUTT STREET, HULL.

HE JOINED THE ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS, AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR. RECEIVED HIS COMMISSION, IN DECEMBER 1914. HE HAD BEEN IN FRANCE SINCE THEN. HE WAS AWARDED THE MILITARY CROSS IN NOVEMBER 1917, FOR ORGANISING AND EVACUATING THE WOUNDED, OVER OPEN GROUND, UNDER FIRE. HE DIED OF WOUNDS ON 21/03/1918, AGED 30.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 03/04/1918. *

HE LEFT £807 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIDOW AND SHE MOVED TO GLASGOW.

HIS COMMANDING OFFICER, LIEUTENANT COLONEL, ROBERTSON, WAS KILLED IN THE SAME ACTION.
