AGED 20. THEY HAD SEVEN CHILDREN, SOME OF WHICH DIED IN INFANCY. THEY LIVED AT 11 SHAW STREET, HOLDERNESS ROAD (CWGC ADDRESS). SERVED IN THE MERCHANT NAVY. SKIPPER, OF THE GRIMSBY TRAWLER, ‘STIRLING’, WHICH WENT MISSING ON 24/02/1915. HE WAS AGED 52. COMMEMORATED ON THE TOWER HILL, NAVAL MEMORIAL, LONDON. HE LEFT £384 IN HIS WILL TO LILY ELIZA ROGERS (WIFE OF ALBERT ROGERS) AND GEORGE JAMES CRESSEY, MATE OF A STEAM TRAWLER. HIS PROBATE ADDRESS WAS 81 PARK STREET, CLEETHORPES, GRIMSBY.
