Woodmancey, George Robinson

Tickton Memorial Plinth, St Pauls Church.

Born Tickton, 1889. Son of John and Jane Eley Woodmancey. A Farm Cattleman. He enlisted at Driffield. Formerly 1093, Army Service Corps. Transferred to the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, 2/4th Battalion (Territorial Force). Killed in action on 26/10/1917, aged 28.

His army effects were left to his mother, Jane.

He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Also remembered on the Tickton ww1 Meorial.
