Born Aldbrough, East Yorkshire, 1894. Son of James Greensides (1834-1907) and Ann Clark.

Enlisted West Hull Recruitment Office. Served with the 3rd Coldstream Guards. Killed in Belgium, on 14/04/1918, aged 24.

His army effecst were left to his siste Mary Jane Knaggs, of Leven (Guardian of his child) and Mrs Emily Murphy, of North View, Aldbrough, Hull.

He is commemorated on the Aldbrough WW1 Memorial.
