Enlisted at the West Hull Recruitment Office. Posted to France, 24/08/1915. Served as a Gunner, in the Royal Field Artillery, “D” Bty. 102nd Brigade. Killed on, 07/08/1916, aged 38. His army effects were left to his widow, Annie, and six children.
