Born Canterbury, Kent 1888. Son of Mrs Annie Rowe, of 12, Marine Parade, Hythe, Folkestone, Kent (War pension address) A regular soldier, serving in India, with the 2nd Black Watch (1911 Census).
He enlisted in Hull when war began. Served in the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) 2nd Bn. Killed in action, on 09/05/1915, aged 24, Buried at Le Touret Cemetery, France.
His army effects were left to his mother.
