Born Middlesbrough, 1889. Son of John Cook Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson, of 5, Enfield Street, Middlesbrough.

He enlisted in Hull. Served with the Railway Pals. Died of wounds, on 13/01/1917, aged 27. Buried in France.
