Bemrose, William Oscar

Born Sheffield, 1892. Son of Emily Pratt (1869-1933)and Robinson Bemrose (1867-1924), of 5, Harold’s Terrace, South Parade, Hull (1911 Census), Son of a draper’s Assistant. He worked as a Dock side Labourer. Enlisted in Hull. Served with the 23rd (Tyneside Scottish) Bn., Northumberland Fusiliers. Killed in action, on 12/09/1917, aged 25.

Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France. His army effects were left to his mother, Emily, who moved to Sheffield.
