Born Menthorpe, Yorkshire, 1884, Son of William and Mary Dilcock, of Selby. Husband of Frances Annie, of Low Street, Sherburn in Elmet, Yorkshire (war Pension address).

He enlisted in Hull. Formerly 24948, East Yorkshire Regiment. Transferred to the 27th Northumberland Fusiliers. Killed in action, on 09/04/1917, aged 33. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France. his army effects were left to his wife, Frances.
