Born Middlesbrough, 1885. Son of Thomas Charles Comer (1858-1921) and Hannah Maria Clipperton (1859–1899), of Bishop Auckland.
He enlisted in Hull. Formerly 32/691, Northumberland Fusiliers. Transferred to the 1/5th York and Lancaster Regiment. Died of wounds, on 18/10/1917, aged 33. Buried in Belgium.
His army effects were left to his father, Thomas.
