Clough, James William

Born Malton, Yorkshire, 1893. Son of the late James and Margaret Ann Clough. He resided in Hull according to Soldiers Died Records. A Grocer’s Apprentice

He enlisted in Newcastle. Formerly 5617, Northumberland Fusiliers. Transferred to the 1/5th York and Lancaster Regiment, 1st 5th (T.F.) Battalion. Killed in action, on 15/04/1918, aged 25. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. His army effects were left to his cousin, Kate Wilson.
