Harrison, David

Born Hull, 12/04/1889. Son of  Robert Harrison and Elizabeth Lyons. he had five brothers and a sister.

He Married on 5/11/1909, aged 20. Husband of Elizabeth Dale Harrison, of 10, Frank’s Terrace, Finsbury Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 7, Queens Terrace, Terry Street, Beverley Road, Hull (War Pension Address). They had three children. he worked as a Labourer (Colour, And Paint Works).

Served as a Gunner in the East Riding, Royal Garrison Artillery. Discharged on 31 Mar 1920.

He lost two brothers in the war – Corporal, John Harrison (1887-1915), 1st EYR, killed in action, on 09/08/1915 and Private, William Henry Harrison (1889-1918), 15/17th Prince of Wales’s Own (West Yorkshire) Regiment, killed in action, on 12/04/1918. Both brothers are commemorated on St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Memorial, Hull.
