Potter, John Henry

Born Sunderland, 1898. Eldest son of John Henry Potter and Margaret Amelia Bell, at 2, Gardeners Place, Gt Thornton Street, Hull (1911 Census). Son of a Hull Docker. He had three brothers and one sister, Jane.

Husband of Ann Sarah Potter (born 17/9/1898), at 54, Pease Street, Hull (war pension address)

Enlisted at Sunderland. Formerly 27050, Durham Light Infantry. Transferred to the 1st/5th Bn. Leicestershire Regiment. Died of wounds, at No 48 Casualty Clearing Station, France, on 24 September 1918, aged 19.
