Born Felmingham, Norfolk, 1896. Second son of George and Emma Lines, of Aylsham Road, Felmingham Nr North Walsham, Norfolk. He had three brothers. Worked as a Farm Labourer.
Enlisted 14/10/1914. Served with the Norfolk Regiment, and Northamptonshire Regiment. Wounded in the right foot by a shell on 24/11/1917. Discharged with Tuberculosis of the Lungm on 1/9/1919. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: B322324). Died on 24 Jul 1920, aged 24.
Married in 1917. Husband of Lily Gertrude, of 6, Prospect Street, Hull (War Pension address).
His elder brother George William Lines served in the Norfolk Regiment during the war.
