Husband of Beatrice Ellen Denovan Baker (formerly Freemantle), of 2, Wilson Street, Anlaby, Hull (CWGC address) and 3, Marnie Avenue, Ferriby, Hull (War pension address). Yjey had one daughter, Noral Helen born on 3/6/1917.

Enlisted at Mill Hill. Formerly served with the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales’s Own). Transferred to the 14th Training Reserve

Died of Pneumonia, at Staffordshire, England., on 10/01/1917, aged 28. Buried at Rugeley, Cannock Chase District, Staffordshire, England.

His army effects were left to his widow, Beatrice, who re-married on 19/1/1918 and became Mrs Baker.
