WORKED AS A BREWER’S LABOURER. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 5.5 INCHES TALL, 129 LBS WEIGHT, 35-37 INCH CHEST, GREY EYES, LIGHT BROWN HAIR, CHURCH OF ENLAND RELIGION.
ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 10/11/1914. REJECTED DUE TO A BAD LEFT KNEE. RE-ENLISTED ON 5/7/1915. SERVED IN THE 3RD EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DISCHARGED WITH BRONCHITIS, ON 26/4/1916. AWARDED THE SILVER WAR BADGE (NO: 173396). DIED ON 17/05/1919, AGED 33, AT HULL.
