He enlisted at Southend. Formerly 45252, R.G.A. Transferred to the 2nd Highland Light Infantry. Died of wounds, on 04/08/1916, aged 25.
His army effects were left to his mother, Lydia, sisters, Grace, Zillah, Kate Emily, brother, Frank Asher, Alfred Charles and sister in law, Maud.
