Married at Hull in 1900. Husband of Sarah Sugden Collinson (born 19 Jan 1881), of 38, Devon Street, Dairycoates Hull (1911 Census); 3, Clarence Avenue, Wyndham Street, Hull and 8, Hampshire Street, Hull (War Pension addresses). They had three children, Charles, Harriet Ann and Samuel.
A Whitesmith by trade. Described as 5 foot, 8 inches tall, 35-37 inch chest, good physical development.
Enlisted at Hull, on 05/06/1915. Served in the 3rd East Riding Royal Engineers. Discharged with Bronchitis (50% Disability). Died of Tuberculosis, at Cottingham, Santatorium, on 04/02/1921, aged 41.
