Born Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales, 1884. Son of Joseph Alexander Badger (1849-1891) and Emily Withers (1857-1941), of 2, Lorne Terrace, Stanley Street, Hull (War Pension address). His father died when he was 7 years old. His mother was married twice. He had four siblings and five half siblings (Withers)
Enlisted at Cardiff. Served with the 1st South Wales Borderers. Killed in action, on 15/09/1918. Commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial, France.
His army effects were left to his mother, Emily.
