Born Hull, May 1899. Son of John Barmby (1861-1907) and Agusta Jame Barmby (15/4/1860-1942) of 28, Empringham Street, Hedon Road, Hull (War Pension address). He had four sisters and two brothers.
Served in the 8th Border Regiment. Discharged on 19 Oct 1919. Worked as a Lighterman, for the Hull & Barnsley Railyway (1921 census). Died on 14 Aug 1923 • Skirlaugh, Yorkshire, aged 24.
