Born South Ferriby. Son of George and Eliza Beacock, of .Cottage Lane, Wrawby, Brigg, Lincs (CWGC address) and School House, South Ferriby (War Pension address). He was a Farm Waggoner.

Enlisted at Brigg, Lincs. Formerly 19359, Lincs Regt. Served with the 1st King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment). Died of wounds, on 12 April 1917, aged 21. Buried at Haute-Avesnes British Cemetery. France.  his grave inscription reads, FOR ONE AND ALL HE DID HIS BEST GOD GRANT TO HIM ETERNAL REST
