Born 17 Aug 1896. Son of Elizabeth and David Buchan, of 31, Castle Terrace, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland (CWGC address) and The Seaman’s Institute, Postengate, Hull (War pension address).
Served as Signalman. Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, H.M.S. “Indefatigable.” Lost at sea at Jutland sea battle, 31 May 1916, aged 20.
