Collingwood, Cecil Herbert Mowlam

Born Portsmouth, Hampshire, 1894. Only son of John Mowlan Collingwood and Elsie May Collingwood at the HM, Coast Guard Station, Easington, and 65, Queens Road, Hull (War Pension address). He had one sister, Mahalath Constance Collingwood

He resided at 169 Castlenan, Barnes, S W London. Worked as a Custom and Excise Officer.

Described as 5 foot, 8.5 inches tall, 33-35 inch chest, 129 lbs weight, good physical development Church of England religion.

Enlisted at Mortlake, on 8 Dec 1915. Posted to France on 17 June 1917. Served in the 15th (County of London) Battalion (Prince of Wales’ Own Civil Service Rifles)). Posted to the Posted 1/9Th London Regt. Killed in action, on 13 Aug 1917, aged 23. He had seved in the army for one year and 249 days.

Buried at Hooge Crater Cemetery, Belgium.
