His father was born at Charing Cross, London, His mother was born in York. He had three sisters and one younger brother.
Frank worked as an Insurance Clerk. He resided in York.
He married at York, on 21 Nov 1916. His wife, Gladys May Dodgson (born 24 April 1893), lived at 222, Mount Vale, York (Probate & War Pension address).
He enlisted at Hull, dropped his German sounding Surname Pfluger and served as Frank Hill. He joined the 1st/1st East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry. Died at Sea on 15 Apr 1917, aged 26. Commemorated on the Mikra Memorial, Greece.
Only married for five months. He left £281 in his will to his widow. His widow Gladys May Pfluger, was also awarded a weekly war pension of 13/9 Shillings, on 26 Nov 1917.
