Wright, Jonathan

Born East Keal, Lincolnshire, 22 Feb 1882. Son of Thomas Wright.

He was a refuge Insurance Agent.

Married at Winthorpe Church, Skegness, Co. Lincoln, on 17 Oct 1911. Husband of Amy Ellis Wright (born 6 Sept 1887), of 14. Waltham Terrace, Mill Lane, Beverley (War pension address).

Enlisted at Beverley, on 2 Aug 1916. Posted to France, on 21 Aug 1916. Formerly 26915, East Yorkshire Regiment. Served in the 17th Labour Corps. Died of wounds received at Passchendaele, on 26/09/1917.

Buried at Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Belgium.

He left a widow and two children, Daisy Edna and Wallace George.

Awarded as a weekly war pension of 22/11 shillings on 8 April 1918.

His death is recorded in the in the UK, De Ruvigny’s Roll of Honour, 1914-1919, Volume 3.

He has a CWGC grave, but there is No CWGC record of his death?
