Louis Francis Huntly

Born Lambeth, London, 1882. Son of Frank Huntly (1860-1918) and Lizette Catherine Hermitage(1860-1914), of Lambeth, London.

Married April 1912 • Thetford, Norfolk, England. Husband of Lucy Amelia Henley (1886–1976). they had two children. They lived at 104, Leighton Road, kentish Town, Middlesex, (Probate address)

He was a Policeman for the East Riding Constabulary.

Posted to France on 17 Feb 1915. He served as a Lance Sergeant, in the Scots Guards and was Commissioned as Second Lieutenant, 1st Gordon Highlanders. Killed in action, at Arras on 26/04/1917, aged 35.

Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France

He left £152 in his will to his widow, Lucy Amelia.

He is also commemorated on the East Riding Constabulary WW1 Memorial, St Mary’s Church, Hengate, Beverley.
