Earl Lennox, built by Cook, Welton & Gemmell, Ltd., Beverley in 1914 and operated at the time of her loss by Royal Navy, was a British navy trawler of 226 tons. On October 23rd, 1917, Earl Lennox was sunk by a mine from the German submarine U-79 (Otto Rohrbeck), south of Islay Sound. 7 persons were lost.
