BORN WOODMANSEY, HULL 1881. SON OF GEORGE WILLIAM WILLFORD (1836-1917) & SARAH KETTLEWELL (1845-1916). HE HAD THREE BROTHERS & FIVE SISTERS. HIS SISTER, ALICE, LIVED AT 7, ARLINGTON STREET, HULL. A SCHOOL TEACHER. ENLISTED IN THE SHEFFIELD PALS, DIED OF WOUNDS, 14 JULY 1916, AGED 35.

HIS TWO BROTHERS, REGINALD AND  JOHN HENRY WILLFORD, WERE BOTH HILLED IN 1917.
