He married Alice Mary Barnett, at Hull 1896, living at 89, Melrose Street, Hull (1911 Census), married with one son, Arthur Warwick Howgate. His widow moved to 148, De La Pole Avenue, Hull and 1, St Georges Grove, St Georges Road, Hull (war pension addresses).
