Born South Cave, East Yorkshire, 1899. Son of James Sarah Ann Withill, of Church Hill, South Cave, East Yorkshire (War Pension address) He enlisted in Hull. Formerly 82042, T.R. Battalion. Transferred to the 1/5th King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Died of wounds, on 23/06/1918, aged 19. buried in France. His grave, reads HE NOBLY ANSWERED … Read more
