Born Goole, 1892. Son of George Thomas Bowers and Martha Bowers, of Burton on Stather, Lincolnshire. He enlisted in Hull. Served as lance Corporal in the 1/4th Seaforth Highlanders. He died in hospital, on 11/07/1918, aged 26. His army effects were left to his sister, Mrs Lilian Welch.
