In June 1916, at Happisburgh, Norfolk, England, his father was Captain of his ship, Barquentine Schooner Lambit. Charles Henry Binks, drowned at sea, en route to an engineer, alongside his father, aged 17. They are buried at Smallburgh, Norfolk, England
