He had two brothers and three sisters

Served as “John William Ackrill” (CWGC name). Enlisted London. Served as Lance Corporal, with the 1st Seaforth Highlanders. Died on 30/06/1916, aged 18. Buried at Amara Cemetery, Iraq.
