BORN HULL 1893. SON OF ANNIE NIXON & JOHN WILLIAM ADDY, OF 42 QUEENSGATE STREET, HULL. ONE OF FIVE CHILDREN. HIS FATHER, SKIPPER, JOHN WILLIAM (JACK) ADDY, HAD BEEN LOST ON THE TRAWLER ‘DYNAMO’ ON 25/12/1910. (HDM 15/01/1919).
TOM ADDY, SERVED ON THE STEAM SHIP “CORNELIEN”. HE WAS DROWNED AT SEA ON THE 14/01/1916, AGED 22. HE LEFT £352 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIDOWED MOTHER, ANN. HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE BEVERLEY WW1 WAR MEMORIAL. HIS DEATH IS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 15/01/1917
