Born 1896 • Winteringham, Lincolnshire. Eldest Son of William Lillie Aldridge & Lucy Jane Cross (1870-1939), of Hamilton Villa, New Holland, Hull (War Pension address). He had two elder sisters and a younger brother, Fred (1901-1923). He was a railway Office Boy.
Enlisted Grimsby. Served with the 1st Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 22 March 1918, aged 23. Commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.
Commemorated on his brother’s grave at Barrow-Upon-Humber Cemetery.
His parents late moved to Winterton, Scunthorpe.
