Enlisted Hull, Served as Corporal, 1/4th East Yorkshire Regiment. Posted to France, on 27/10/1915. Died of Wounds, on 16/09/1916.
His brother, Corporal, Harry Smith Anderton, 756160, Royal Field Artillery, also died of war injuries. He was wounded by gunshot and died of post operative work, on 23 Jan 1925.
