JOINED AS A FITTER IN THE 2ND NORTHUMBRIAN ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. POSTED TO FRANCE ON 20/04/1915. TRANSFERRED TO THE THE RFA 250TH BRIGADE. WOUNDED IN THE LEFT ARM, ON 29/04/1918. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, AT THE MINISTRY OF PENSIONS HOSPITAL, LEEDS, ON 13/01/1925. HE LEFT £216 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIDOWED MOTHER AT THIS PROBATE ADDRESS. HE WAS BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. THERE IS NO CWGC RECORD, OF HIS DEATH.
