BORN GREAT YARMOUTH, 27/09/1892. SON OF BENJAMIN ANDREWS AND MARY ANN AMEILIA WATERS, OF 40 MANCHESTER STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). HE LIVED AT 64 SCOTT STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS). DIED IN CROMARTY HARBOUR ON 13/01/1915, WITH HENRY SKELTON, WHEN BAD WEATHER CAPSIZED THEIR VESSEL. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 15TH JANUARY 1915.
HIS NAME IS RECORDED AS KILLED, ON THE MANCHESTER STREET ROLL OF HONOUR (Hull Daily Mail 30 August 1916).
HIS ELDER BROTHER, BRNJAMIN ANDREWS SERVED IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. HIS YOUNGER BROTHER, CLAUDE DUNCAN ANDREWS, SERVED IN THE ROYAL ENGINEERS DURING THE WAR AT THIS ARMY ADDRESS. HIS YOUNGEST BROTHER, HORACE VICTOR (HARRY) ANDREWS SERVED IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE.
