Andrews, William Samuel

Born Hull 1887. Son of William George Andrews ( 1864-1934) and Frances Elizabeth Wise (1864-1941) 0f 8, Coleridge Street, Wescott Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had one brother and seven sisters. He worked as a Painter. Described as 5 foot, 4.5 inches tall, 132 lbs weight, 33.5-35 inch chest, good physical development.

Enlisted at Hull, on 17/5/1915. Married at Hull, on 19/6/1915. Husband of Ana Dewhurst.

Served as a Driver and Gunner, in the Royal Field Artillery 2nd Northumbrian Brigade. Posted to France on 4/7/1916. Discharged on 21/2/1919. Died at Hull, on 10/06/1920, aged 33.
