Borb Rotherham, 26 Feb 1895. Son of Clara Barlow (1851-1930), of 6, Rawmarsh Road, Rotherham, Yorkshire(CWGC address) and 13, May Terrace, Stanley Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had two elder brothers and two elder sisters.
He was a Iron Works Labourer and Shell maker.
Enlisted Rotherham, on 11 Dec 1915. Served with the 6th York & Lancs Regiment. Wounded in the back on 11 Oct 1918. Died of wounds, on 20 Oct 1918, aged 23.
His army effects were left to his widow, Marion Pearson who he married at Rotherham, in 1916. They had a young son, Raymond Barlow (1917-1918). His weekly war pension of 10 shillings was awarded to his mother, Clara.
Buried at the Etaples Militaary Cemetery, Étaples, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. His grave inscription, reads, THOUGH THE SEA DIVIDES HIS GRAVE FROM US HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOT
