Born Peterborough, Northamptonshire, 1895. Son of John Thomas Barnett (1862-1941) and Agnes Mary Hall (1866-1834), of Nottingham and 73, Bean Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had seven brothers and four sisters.
Served in the 10th Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Died of gas shell wounds, at the Canadian Hospital, Treport, on 17/08/1918, aged 23
