Born Hull, 18 Feb 1888. Son of Briggs Beetham (1856-1893) and Elizabeth Senior. He had three brothers and two sisters.
Married 1909. Husband of Annie Greaves, at 3, James Terrace, Walcott Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 11, West Dock Terrace, Walker Street, Hull (War Pension address). They had two sons, Charles and Ernest. He was a Fish Labourer.
Served as a Deck Hand in the Royal Naval Reserve. Discharged on 8 May 1918, Served for 2 years and 261 days. Awarded Silver War Badge. Died of war aggravated Tuberculosis, on 16 Jan 1926, aged 37.
His son Charles Beetham served as an RNR, Engineman in WW2 and was killed on 3 October 1944, aged 33.
