Born Hull, 1891. Known as Robt Bell, Son of John Bell (1861-1914) and Martha Dixon(1864-1937). He had five brothers and five sisters. He enlisted in Grimsby, where he worked as a dock labourer. Served as Private, 12546, 8th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 20/04/1917, aged 26. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial. His army effects were, left to his mother Martha.
His brother, Private, John Bell, 241653, 5th Lincolnshire Regiment, died of wounds, on 18/03/1918, aged 32.
