KILLED BY A MINE EXPLOSION, AT LOOS IN 1915. HIS BODY WAS FOUND BY HIS MATES AT YPRES IN 1916.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 14TH FEBRUARY 1916 WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. * HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HESSLE ROLL OF HONOUR, ALL SAINTS PARISH CHURCH.
HIS THREE BROTHERS ALSO SERVED IN THE WAR. ONE IN FLANDERS. THE OTHER TWO IN THE NAVY.
