Born Hull, 1895. Son of Robert Eastwood (1852-1929) and Matilda Bidewell (1871-1949), of 3, Pheasant Terrace, Redbourne Street, Hull (1911 Census). A Warehouse Boy (1911 Census).

He married Hilda Wilson, on 7 Dec 1918, at Harrogate, St Luke. They had one son, Frank (1920-1983). They lived at 23, St Andrew Street, Hull (war pension address)

He served as a Private in the 17th Northumberland Fusiliers. (Hull Railway Pals). Discharged on 7 Jan 1919. Died on 1 Mar 1924, aged 29.
