Born Patrington, on 21/05/1890. Son of Arthur Bielby (1862-1930) and Emma Collinson ( 1860-1947), of Bailey House, Greenshaw Lane, Partington, Hull (War Pension address). Employed as a Joiner and Wheelwright.
Served in the Royal Marine Light Infantry, Portsmouth Bn. Royal Navy. Division. Killed at Gallipoli, on 13/07/1915, aged 25. Commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.
Also commemorated on the Patrington WW1 Memorial and at St Patrick’s Church marble memorial tablet.
