BORN HULL 1891. SON OF HARRY AND MARY ANN BIGGINS, OF 126, CAMPBELL STREET, HULL, 103, DAY STREET, HULL & 6, GEORGES TERRACE, CHILTERN STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES). SON OF A DOCK LABOURER. ONE OF SIX CHILDREN. HE WORKED AS A STORE PACKER. WAS A WELL KNOWN AMATEUR FOOTBALLER WITH HULL OLD BOYS AND THE COTTINGHAM TEAM.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. JOINED THE 6TH YORKSHIRE HUSSARS (ALEXANDRA PRINCES OF WALES OWN) REGIMENT. WOUNDED AT GALLIPOLLI, ON 21/08/1916. AFTER RECOVERING HE WAS POSTED TO FRANCE TO THE 6TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED AT THE THE SOMME, ON 29/09/1916, AGED 25. COMMEMORTED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
