HE ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 09/09/1915. HE DIED OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS TO THE HEAD, AT THE 2ND CASUALTY CLEARING STATION, ON 06/11/1915, AGED 21. BURIED AT BAILLEUL COMMUNAL CEMETERY, FRANCE. HE HAD SERVED FOR 1 YEAR AND 25 DAYS.
UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, ARTHUR. HE LEFT THREE BROTHERS, LEONARD, ERNEST AND GEORGE, AND SISTER, MAGGIE.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL TIMES, ON 13/11/1915.
