BORN HULL 1898. SON OF JOHN HENRY BLADON (1856-1929) & MARY HANNAH SHARP (1862-1904) OF HESSLE AND HULL. ONE OF TEN CHILDREN AND FOUR SONS, THREE OF WHICH DIED IN THE WAR.A FORMER FARM LABOURER. HE LIVED WITH HIS SISTER, MRS LILY SMITH, AT WATERLOO STREET AND AT THIS ADDRESS. HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 01/05/1917. JOINED THE EYR. TRANSFERRED TO 238419, 414TH AGRICULTURAL COMPANY, LABOUR CORPS. HE DIED OF “PERNICIOUS ANAEMIA”, AT HULL ROYAL INFIRMARY, ON 26/01/1919, AGED 21. BURIED HULL WESTERN CEMETERY.

HIS BROTHER, JOHN HENRY BLADON, 2ND EYR WAS KILLED AT YPRES ON 23/04/1915, AGED 29. HIS OTHER BROTHER ERNEST BALDON, DIED AT GALLIPOLI ON 15/06/1915, AGED 21.
HIS REMAINING BROTHER, GEORGE BLADON, SERVED WITH THE 2ND EYR AND SURVIVED THE WAR. HE LEFT SISTERS, JANE, CHARLOTTE, LILY,ELLEN BEATRICE AND DOROTHY.
