A PROFESSIONAL SOLDIER WITH THE 2ND EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. SERVED TEN YEARS IN INDIA. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 01/05/1915. KILLED IN ACTION, AT YPRES, ON 23/04/1915, AGED 29. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER JOHN, AND SISTER LILLIAN.

HIS BROTHER, ERNEST BLADON, DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 15/06/1915. ANOTHER BROTHER, FRED BLADON, DIED OF WOUNDS ON 26/06/1919. HIS REMAINING BROTHER, GEORGE BLADON, ALSO SERVED WITH THE 2ND EYR AND SURVIVED THE WAR. HE LEFT SISTERS, JANE, CHARLOTTE, LILY,ELLEN BEATRICE AND DOROTHY.
